Welcome Back After Half Term

I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all students and staff following the half term break. It has been a pleasure to see everyone returning refreshed and ready for the term ahead.

Our Year 11 mock examinations are now underway, and it is encouraging to see students approaching these assessments with maturity. We commend them for their effort and focus during this important period of preparation.

Congratulations to our newly appointed Year 7 Student Leaders.
Tayler, Maisie, Katie , Lily, Ella Rose, Sophie and Sienna.

They have already made an excellent start in their leadership roles, representing the school as they welcomed the NYCC Mayor, David Skaith, during his visit to Harrogate HIgh School earlier this week.

We were delighted that a group of our textile students had the opportunity to visit the care home Hampden House to create poppies for Remembrance Day alongside their residents. This intergenerational project is a wonderful example of Harrogate High School community engagement. Opportunities like this allow our students to contribute meaningfully while developing valuable personal and creative skills. Thanks to Miss Addy for facilitating this project and to Hampden House for reaching out to support making the poppies. The students and residents will be delivering the poppy wreaths to the centotaph next week.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.
