Message from the Headteacher

We are delighted to announce that our Year 10 boys’ football team delivered a superb performance this week, securing a decisive 6–0 victory against Rossett.

Mr Harvey reported that "the match was a brilliant display of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship from start to finish."

A huge well done to all the players involved, you have made the school incredibly proud!

I am delighted that we have been able to facilitate this run of fixtures against another local school and thank the PE department for this. Thank you to parents who help with tranpsort. If any of our community have ideas or contacts as help us speed up the funding for our school minibus fund, it would be appreciated. We don't want our students to miss out on opportunities and a minibus would not only help with sports fixtures, it would help across all areas of the curriculum and for enrichment opportunities.

We were proud to see our students taking part in the annual act of remembrance by delivering wreaths to the town cenotaph, paying tribute to those who gave their lives. The HHS handmade wreaths also made a special detour via the station, recognising our role in the community as "Friends of Harrogate Station." It was wonderful to see students representing the school with such respect and community spirit. You can hear Mr Frampton playing The Last Post on our social media posts and thanks to Miss Addy and Mr Pedro for making this tribute happen.

Yesterday, our annual Futures Career Fair took place and Year 10 and 11 students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of career paths, speak to industry professionals, and gather inspiration for their next steps. We hope the experience was both useful and motivating as they begin to consider their future options.

Well done to everyone involved
in making this a positive and
productive week at HHS!
