Message from the Headteacher
Coming into school past the Stray, with its pools of crocuses emerging through the grass, always makes me feel that the day has begun on a positive note. There is something uplifting about these early signs of spring, a quiet reminder that growth and renewal are all around us.
This week, year 11 students have completed their mock examinations, finishing with the Spanish speaking exams at the start of the week. Thank you to all my staff team for their continued support in helping these students to prepare and build confidence in their abilities, ready for their exams in the summer term.
I would also like to extend my thanks to the parents and carers who attended our recent SEND Parent Forum. Your engagement and feedback are important to us as we continue to develop the support we provide for our students with additional needs. We greatly appreciate the time you took to join us and contribute to the discussion.
Please take note of our Greening Days on the 17th and 25th March. It would be great to have as many people there as possible to help us plant the 400 saplings along the boundary fo our site that we have been kindly donated.
Looking ahead to next week, we have a DoE award presentation evening, the North Yorkshire enterprise meeting and we are excited for next week’s Performing Arts Evening. Events like this are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity, talent and hard work of our students. I look forward to seeing many of you there to support what promises to be a great evening.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Mr Gill
Head of Academy
