WEEKLY BULLETIN
Message from the Headteacher
As we reach the end of another busy and successful half term, I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate some of the recent achievements of our students.
Congratulations to Claudia W, Susannah W, Margo P and Nulith D for achieving Bronze and Silver certificates in the 2026 Junior Mathematical Challenge. This is reflection of their hard work and excellent problem-solving skills. Well done. A special mention must go to Nulith D, who achieved the highest score in the year group, a fantastic achievement indeed! Well done to everyone who took part in the challenge; it was a tremendous effort all round.
Also we would like to congratulate to the three finalists in our Speak Out Challenge. Year 10 students were tasked to write and deliver speeches on topics of their own choice, demonstrating confidence, creativity and excellent communication skills. The finalists, Archie W, April D and George B each delivered their speech in assembly in front of a panel of judges. Well done to all of these students and congratulations to the overall winner, April. She will now be competing in the Yorkshire Regional Final at The Carriageworks Theatre on Tuesday 9th June. We are all rooting for you!
Well done to the Year 11 students who have impressed us with their commitment and mature approach to exams so far. We are delighted to see that so many of them have signed up for our target support sessions after the half term break. These will give them expert input to supplement all their personal revision. Please note that any students attending school are expected to remain on site for the full school day and when in school, all students must be in full school uniform.
Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to Tesco for their kind donation of fruit to the school this week. It was very much appreciated and enabled us to offer students a fresh piece of fruit as they arrived at school.
Thank you to all students, staff and families for your continued support throughout the half term. We wish everyone an enjoyable break.
