Message from the Headteacher
The school year is now in full swing, and there’s lots happening at Harrogate High School!
Thank you to the many parents and carers who attended the Year 11 Information Evening—we always say that the relationship between school and home is fundamental to student success, and your support at this important time of their educational journey is very much appreciated.
This week, our Year 7 pupils were treated to a special crime-writing CSI workshop, funded by Harrogate International Festival, designed to stimulate creativity and inspire a love of writing.
Working with an author, pupils explored the world of crime writing through an engaging CSI-style workshop. They developed their creative thinking, investigated clues and characters, and had the opportunity to put their storytelling skills to the test.
A fantastic experience that encouraged our Year 7s to think creatively, ask questions and discover the excitement of bringing their own stories to life.
We love sharing your child’s experiences, achievements and learning with you. Please take a moment to check and confirm your consent on Arbor as it helps us showcase and celebrate the wonderful things happening in our school community.
Once again, please support school by telling telling your friends and family members who have year 5 and 6 students about iour OPen Evening next week on the 1st Ocotber. Staff and students are looking forward to showcasing our school cpommunity welcoming visitors!
Year 8 students go on their residential trip next week so we wish them all a happy and safe time. Thank you to Mr Coleman, Ms Gudgeon and Mr Pedro for escorting the group. We look forward to receiving photos and hearing all about it!
