Message from the Headteacher

This week, we are thrilled to announce the formation of our Year 11 Student Leadership Team. This group of dedicated students will play a key role in promoting positive change within our school community, representing the voice of their peers and leading various initiatives. We have appointed the following students and would like to express our congratulations to them.

Head student – Elise L

Deputy Head, Learning First Lead and Head of Lower School - Louisa D

Deputy Head, Learning First Lead and Head of Upper School – Izabell W

Head of CARES Values Lead Courage – Phoebe W

Aspiration – Terry M

Respect – Naphthali

Equality – Frankie K

Self-Respect – Noah J

These leaders will be meeting with their teams from the other years next week and we look forward to sharing their project work with you over the coming months.

This week we were delighted to welcome the Schools Consent Project into School. This workshop is aimed at normalising conversations around consent and involved discussions with students to foster safe, healthy interactions and to help reduce the risk of young people experiencing or perpetrating sexual harm. These sessions are designed to empower students with the knowledge and confidence to engage in respectful and consensual relationships, both within and beyond the school environment.

A gentle reminder that it is the Year 9 Options Evening on Monday. We hope to see many parents at the event as you will receive all the information you need to be able to support your child with their option decisions.

We held a mock results day event this week for Year 11 students. There is a lot to be positive about as many students achieved good results. Keep up the good work and remember that the purpose of these exams is to help students find out which areas they need to focus on in preparation for the final exams. Next week the Hospitality Practical Exam will take place. We wish students the best with this and look forward to the ground floor corridors smelling of their fabulous cooking!

Wishing you all a pleasant weekend.
