A message from the Headteacher

Welcome to the new school year!

I hope you all enjoyed a restful summer filled with memorable moments with friends and family.

In August,  we had the chance to share GCSE exam success with our students and wish them a fond farewell for the final time as they move on to continue their educational journey. We are very proud to say that our results continue to improve year on year, thanks to the support and dedication of my staff team, and hard work of the students of course!

We urge the new Year 11 cohort, to take advantage of all the advice that staff give them and attend the Yr 11 ESS sessions they are putting on after school to support their GCSE journey. Time passes by quickly and so it is important to start the year positively, and put learning first.

It has been wonderful to see our students return to Harrogate High School this week with energy and enthusiasm. I would like to give special welcome to our new pupils and families joining our school community.

The year ahead is full of opportunity. Our staff are ready with engaging lessons, enriching activities and the right support to help every child succeed.

Alongside academic achievement, we remain committed to our CARES values – Courage, Aspiration, Respect, Equality and Self-Control – qualities that will guide our young people in school and beyond.

We know that strong communication between home and school is vital, and my staff team and I look forward to working together to ensure every student feels supported, challenged and inspired in their educational journey.

Wishing you all a happy and successful term ahead,

Mr Gill
Head of Academy
