Message from the Headteacher

The school year is now in full swing, and there’s lots happening at Harrogate High School!

This week has been packed with exciting trips and opportunities for our students. Some of our students visited the theatre to see To Kill a Mockingbird, while others took a practical trip to IKEA with the DT department. We also had a group of students gain valuable hands-on experience working on a farm.

We were pleased to welcome representatives from Askham Bryan College, who came in to speak with our Year 11 students about post-16 options.

A huge thank you to the many parents and carers who attended the Year 11 Information Evening—we always say that the relationship between school and home is fundamental to student success, and your support at this important time of their educational journey is very much appreciated.

Thank you also to those who joined us at the recent Parent Forum. As always, we are grateful for your feedback and ongoing involvement in the life of the school.

It is HHS Open Evening for prospective students on the 25th September. Please tell your friends and family members who have year 5 and 6 students about it,  as staff and students are looking forward to welcoming them!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
